“I want the Scottish Times to keep the good news about Scotland coming (hopefully there’ll be no shortage of it as time goes by…)”

Marc Coleman is an economist, journalist and broadcaster. He presents Coleman At Large on Newstalk Radio, Ireland and has written extensively for Irish Times and Sunday Independent. As an economist he has worked for the European Central Bank and the Irish Department of Finance.

“The launch of Scottish Times comes at an exciting time for the social media in Scotland – traditional newspapers have had their day as everyone knows – the future will be about networking and communicating in a modern digital age – faster, more furious and ‘on the move’ as never before.
So I wish the Scottish Times well in the months ahead – it couldn’t have come along at a better time.”

Mark Irvine is a journalist (New Statesman and Blogger). He is an independent consultant with a wide range of clients in the public, private and ‘not for profit’ sectors – both in the UK and Europe. In a previous life, Mark spent 20 years as a senior trade union official – latterly as Unison’s Head of Local Government and Chief Negotiator in Scotland.

“I’m delighted to join the Scottish Times community. The ST project is not only desperately needed but is ambitious and shows Scottish ingenuity at its best. I will not only be an enthusiastic donor but will spread the word among other parliamentarians.”

James Eadie, SNP MSP.
